Artist Note

I found this clay piggy bank (मिट्टी का गुल्लक) while exploring Gwalior with my mother and it took me right back to childhood: the slow collecting of coins, the thrill of finally cracking it open. It holds more than money. It holds memory! The photograph is part of “The Gallery called Home (2025)”, a collection of photographs exploring memory, belonging, and the places we return to through time.
